Laminar ceilings were developed for the production of the Covivac vaccine, manufactured by the M.P. Chumakov Federal Research Centre for Industrial Radiation Protection and Radiation Safety (FRCIRPS) of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
The complexity of the project lay in developing a solution that would create a sterile zone with unidirectional air flow across the entire production area, in conditions of extremely limited space with existing technological equipment.
To solve this problem, laminar ceilings with complex geometric shapes and a total area of more than 50 m² were developed, making it possible to ensure full sterility of the production process.
